Having beaten the Soviet Team in 1980, the USA men's team needed only to beat Finland to win the Gold, yet, after 2 periods they trailed 2-1.
Herb Brooks told the team, "if you lose this game [after having beaten the soviets] you will take it to your Fxxxxng Grave . . . . your f'ng grave!!!"
Of course, the USA mens team came back to win 4-2 and the rest is history.
Unlike that team . . ..
ATL leading by 25 points . . . will take this game to their graves.
Hard to imagine recovering from such psychological devastation.
