I agree with you about Bettis. Once a gain Kurt was a good-great QB. If he had an OL that blocked for him and hadn't suffered so many concussions I believe he would never have served as a backup QB.
If Kurt hadn't have spent so much time on TV as an analyst he might not have gotten as many votes.
Once again, I reiterate that I believe the standards used today for the HOF are lower than they used to be- case in point-- Jason Taylor. Also, those who have played more recently get the most hype; those who haven't have not received the credit they are due-- Issac Bruce might not get it, not because he wasn't good but because he didn't get the hype and he didn't wasn't the threat of some of the greats. He did epitomize the best of what it means to be and NFL player and that should count for a great deal.
