2017 will decide whether the Rams pick up his 5th year option (est. $9.1M) for 2019. So a lot of incentive there. Personally I think 80% of his issue was bad run blocking which led to bad habits and impatience as the year progressed. But just my opinion.
I agree though i dunno what 'percentage' any of the issues were:
1) REALLY BAD run blocking
2) REALLY Bad Pass-game to take pressure off the run game
3) His running style -- he is not a tackle-breaker, or a bruiser.
4) No player on offense played very well which put pressure on 'each' player on offense.
5) Something went terribly wrong with the offensive-coaching. Whether it was the scheme or whatever. Maybe Fisher picked the wrong coaches, i dunno.
As bad as the offense was, this team managed to look like a scrappy, hard-nosed, try-hard, group of guys
half-way through the season. At some point after the half-way mark, the Rams just melted down like a marshmellow
in a bondfire.
I hope not to see anything like it again.
