My brother and I had 2 red skateboards with just that, steel wheels. I always tease my daughters that we used to run over and crush the rocks when I was a kid.
You must have had heavy lead wheels! When I was a kid with steel-wheel skateboards, even a little pebble would stop my skateboard in it's tracks sending me face first into the sidewalk!
