If they let Tru go that will say a lot about Snead.
I have no idea how McVay has success with this OL. And this OL was not all on Fisher. GRob was bought into by Fisher but he still was ranked high by Snead, and all those other guys who can't play were hand picked by Snead.
Put me in a camp that feels the Rams have underperformed, not lacked talent....or maybe there isn't a camp and I'm on an island. I feel they underperformed because a culture of "good enough" exists. I saw no focus on what they wanted to become.
If McVay can create a culture where nothing less then your best is acceptable and has a CLEAR focus on what type of football the Rams will play...a lot of the "talent" issues will begin sorting themselves out.
It will be interesting the choices they make. For example if they let Tru go it will be because they feel they have CB depth, which would be a testimony to Snead and not a comment on Tru (do you keep everyone? where do you want to spend your FA money if you actually have options?)
IMO time. I think 2016 was just this big perfect cluster storm and trying to pin it on one cause is just not going to make for good analysis. They certainly don't lack for talent...they did lack offensive cohesion.
