And one coached by the same guy many here are blaming for the Rams O-line problems for much of it.
The "superior surrounding talent" narrative has never had any basis in reality. It's build on him having the 80 year old Tony Gonzalez in the twilight of his career and now Julio Jones. But the facts are he was good before Gonzalez, during Gonzalez and has been good after Gonzalez. He was good before Jones, during Jones and when Jones has been out of the lineup he hasn't skipped a beat. And then you have a carousel of RB's, none of which would be mistaken for Marshall Faulk but he gets them involved in the passing game because he keeps everybody involved. Cast offs and middle to late round picks perform at WR and TE perform, like Sanu and Gabriel, Harry Douglas and Devin Hester, Jaquizz Rodgers and Jacob Tamme all get production. This season 4 different TE's have combined for around 60 catches, 800 yards and 9 TD's, no single one of them even reaching 300 yards individually. But he's gotten great production out of the position despite having just a collection of guys there.
He makes his surrounding cast, not the other way around. And he's probably going to add an MVP for his efforts this year.
