Having a WR, that played in McVay's system and understands what the coach wants and can speak the "language" is huge.
Plus, DJ played at Long Beach Poly, so he would probably go for the idea of finishing his career in Los Angeles.
It makes no difference whether you challenge Austin or not. He has a limited skill set as a pure receiver. Challenging him will just be this added reminder of the set of things he can't do very well.
So what you do with Austin is stick with the things he DOES do very well.
And that's not being a pure receiver.
