I am not going to dump on McVay or the hiring, I just wish we'd have waited to interview him...then decide. They fell in love with someone before they looked at all the best possibilities

I think if you think you found "the coach" you're looking for, you hire him without hesitation. Can't afford to sit around waiting for another interview and risk losing your guy.

Also, there is a race to get a staff together and the longer you wait the less chance you have at landing a guy like Wade Phillips.


I think the Rams really liked the idea of McVay/Phillips and jumped on it.


I wanted Shanny too, but so far I'm really liking what we've seen so far with the wonder kid.
