In my opinion, yes.

I won't restate everything I said before, but to pretend as though age doesn't matter is to ignore not only common sense but medicine and psychology.
Years of living allows one to gain from experience in a number of settings. It allows one time to meet others in the field and pick their brains and see them in action. It allows one to supplement their knowledge with wisdom. First timers at anything are mistake prone.

So no, if they hire him, I won't be a fan of it. I'm not going to prejudge and go off the deep end. As they say, even a blind squirrel can eventually find a nut. So I figure if the Rams throw enough darts at enough balloons, some day (hopefully before I die) they'll find a winning HC.

But there's a reason there's never been a 31 year old NFL HC. And that reason is a maturity that only time on this earth can bring. There is no accelerating it.
I can't even imagine what an unprepared 31 year old is going to do to handle the media vultures of LA.
