im not opposed to KS. in fact i think of all the candidates hes done the most with a variety of different teams in terms of offensive production. i think hes a GREAT coordinator.
but then i ask myself, why has he not got a head coaching job yet? i realize hes not 40 yet but like mcvay hes been a golden boy for a few years and cant seem to get the head gig. why? does he lack leadership qualities? is there something about him that rubs people the wrong way? i dont have an answer for that, but it does make me wonder.
also, to flip it around, what if elway goes with joseph? what does that say about shanahan? a guy with tremendous ties to the city, organization and team gets overlooked for an outsider? so my question again, would be why does KS keep getting skipped over?
