We are what we repeatedly do waka waka waka
In the end, no matter who the Rams choose, they still have to surround the guy with good people. And McVay might be lacking the connections or working relationships that a more experienced coach might have. And would he have enough if plan A and plan B for DC fail to sign as expected. Not saying he doesn't because I know he's from a football family but someone like Shanahan has more experience and his father has working relationships with several coaches I would imagine.
And leadership doesn't (and shouldn't IMO) solely come from the HC. There should be leadership from all the coaches. Accountability doesn't have to be doled out from one person. I think it should be part of the culture of the team. And that starts from the top IMO. I like McVay from what I've seen. I would be fine if he became the coach but they have to surround him with good people (or he has to surround himself with good people) and he must have good players and a good QB... and of course more luck.
I'm still all in on Shannahan but there are a few others I'd be fine with.
