I tend to think there were a lot more tragedies running the ball that were on Gurley than I can assess.
But I was firmly in the camp of sitting Todd, and putting Brown in as the feature back when things were absurdly whack.
I thought the breakdown in the youtube film also was good. Shows schematically what a zone run block break down, too.
In hindsight, Fisher was doomed from the very first game. The 9ers killed us, and it started with containment of Todd.
There may be a lot more to sort with the running game than with the passing game. It's a bit hard to tell. But when there is no credible threat working the ball on the ground? Gonna be a long day, Batman.
