but there was a huge difference between Spags and Fisher.
Songs had Bradford for two years. His rookie of the year season and the season that Josh Daniels tried to kill him.
And Fisher brought in Schotty, Cignetti and Boras. Spags lost Shurmer to a head coaching position in the NFL. schotty left for a college OC position.
Should be noted the McDaniels was awful. He couldn't adapt to the players and tried to force an offense on a team that didn't have the talent for it.
And Spags didn't have the authority that Fisher had. He made about a quarter of what Fisher did salary-wise and probably had little say in offensive coordinators. But it's hard to argue with hiring McDaniels. At least then. Easy to argue now but it seems people are blinded by the pats "success". Just win baby.
With that said, I am almost certain the hire will be McDaniels. Hopefully, or not, he will bring Bill's um "secrets" with him like he did when he went to Denver before he got caught doing things the Patriots way and subsequently won only a handful more games before being fired.
