"Fisher came to the Rams after producing just two winning teams over his last seven years with the Tennessee Titans
and was never able to cultivate a culture in which losing was overtly rejected."
Some players respond to the stick...some to the carrot...
we ALL know HCs like that and both methods have worked...and failed.
I don't mind writers saying an HCs plan or schemes/hires didn't work...or drafting or personnel....
BUT.... i find it near impossible to accept that HCs lose on purpose or don't try and WIN with everything they have in at their disposal
In order to keep their 1 in 32 of the best job in the world.....and often most lucrative.
Losing gets you fired...why on earth would any coach or player want that?
I just wish they'd stop using that in articles cuz it strains credulity!!
You might be taking Vinny's words wrong there, Sun.
He's not saying that Fisher consciously wanted to institute a culture of losing.
I think he's saying that such a culture was a byproduct of Fisher's philosophies as a HC.
