I would like to get Payton, but don't want to give up more then a third for him and it sounds like he may be out of the picture at this point anyway.
If I had to make the decision today my choice would be Kyle Shanahan.
I really want this team to have a true offense that is capable of giving our defense a chance and average at least 22 points a game.... I think KS should be capable of that within two years.
Regardless of who they choose I'm going to support it and give him a chance before I start claiming the sky is falling. I hope everyone would do the same.

Truth is most of us if not all of us don't know enough about all the candidates to make a realistic assessment.
Imagine a board like this debating 12 different college players before a draft. It would be a great discussion.
12 coaching candidates? Forget it. We're just shooting in the dark. Even if someone knows a lot about 1 of them he doesn't know enough about all of them to make genuine, informed comparisons. It would be nothing like the kind of player discussion I just mentioned.
