on the potential coaching candidates because last time I was all gung-ho on Fisher and that blew up in my face.
I have my reservations, but I think those mostly come from the public spats the Shannahans had with Snyder. Or maybe it was just dad, I really should google some of that stuff.
What he did for Cousins, what he did to the Rams defense without their 2 best WRs this year was amazing. He has the pedigree. Is he splashy? No, but he is realistic. i think I would be fine with him. I really want Gus bradley as the DC, but that should be obvious. He did spend 10 years at NDSU...
I'm not going to sit here and bash posters, but Harbaugh isn't going anywhere, neither is Gruden (who I think is over rated much like Fisher was). The college guys I like like Peterson from Washington or Shaw from Stanford are completely unproven.
So to me it makes sense that a coordinator would get a shot.
I like Jim Bob Cooter, but (and Im being serious) his name doesn't scream LA to me. Now am I stereotyping a guy? Sure. Is that wrong? Yep. Do I stand by my statement? Absolutely.
Not a Patricia fan or McDaniels for that matter. its a Patriots thing. Its why fans would make bad GMs and presidents of football operations, emotions.
A name no one is talking about, and I mentioned him 5 years ago is Rob Chudzinski. he got the shaft in Cleveland and is now the Asst. HC in Indy.
Harold Goodwin and Sean mcVay interest me enough to give interviews to.
And I'll leave you with a name I have not yet heard mentioned: Dave Toub
