Rams welcome Cardinals, but without Jeff Fisher

LOS ANGELES -- The Jeff Fisher firing denied us what could've been a very compelling rematch in the season finale.

Back in Week 4, the Los Angeles Rams traveled to University of Phoenix Stadium and beat the Arizona Cardinals by a 17-13 score. And afterwards, Fisher shared his postgame locker room speech with NFL.com, one where he told his players that their win served as the Cardinals' "Christmas present." The bitterness stemmed from Bruce Arians' comments two years earlier, when he referred to Fisher's Rams as a team that is "always 8-8."

Now the Rams and Cardinals meet again, for a 1:25 p.m. PT matchup from Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on New Year's Day, but alas, Fisher is no longer.

Looking back, the Rams' win over the Cardinals was the apex of their season. It put them at 3-1, in first place in the NFC West. Since then, they have lost 10 of 11, their first season in Los Angeles quickly taking a dark turn. Below is a look at six opposing players to watch, courtesy of ESPN Cardinals reporter Josh Weinfuss.
