JJ did OK for the Rams.
For those with short memories: his nickname here was "double-move". Any WR with a good double-move left JJ grasping for air.
He had those "wow" moments and way too many of those "wtf???" moments.
He goes to the Giants and bam; he has a great year.
What does that tell you?
It tells me what I've said all along: Fisher's teams underachieve in relation to talent level. Fisher's teams are deeply flawed and terribly undisciplined. Ever see a kid with an "aw shucks" Dad very disciplined?
I think the talent on the Rams is far better than their record (at least that's been so for a couple of years).
No doubt Fisher can get his guys to play hard; he just can't get them to play well or play consistently.
A good HC and a solid experienced staff who knows what winning looks like (how would Fisher know?) is going to make a difference with this team. Don't get me wrong; some player personnel moves will be needed (mainly on the Oline).
I don't see GW surviving; his D is just like JJ was with the Rams....some "wow" , too much "wtf????".
If any coach survives, it'll be Bones. His STs are outstanding and consistent.
Fisher just continues in denial. Can't stand that guy.
