I think you are imbibing deep of post-loss negative memory. He can do that (drop them) but at the same time, the truth is, his real issue is that he can't make the "qb saving plays" pure receivers do. He needs them in his hands.
In terms of drops, people magnify things. This year he has a 6.3% drop percentage, which is not good (AND it;s not the worst in the league). (You would be amazed by the long list of people who are worse.)
But last year it was 3.5%.
So if he has done it before he can do it again.
The question is why he, plus all the TEs and receivers really, regressed so much this year in terms of drops.
