If someone is stinking up the place put the next guy in!! It's EXACTLY what the Rams could've done to wake up players in dead beat mode. I told my Son after the 1st QTR of the Rams Monday Night opener at Frisco.......Fisher SHOULD'VE benched the EEEENTIRE starting team for a series each. They were sleep walking during game #1. OBVIOUSLY, it carried through most of the season.
Around 1992, I saw Steve Spurrier bench the entire offense for two plays. I was at the game. Gators were playing some cup cake game...Louisiana Monroe, I THINK. Gators came out VERY VERY flat. La Monroe scored off sloppy Gator play. The next drive, Gators came out flat again. Third series? AGAIN! Spurrier called a T.O. He sat EVERYONE. The next series, the starters returned. It was lights out. Yeah, it was a cup cake game but the wake up call worked.
