Not sure why... but Gruden's enthusiasm comes off, to me...

very concocted, shallow. That's just 'perception', and I make no judgement that it's true, or that I'm right about him. I do think he's intense... but an 'intense' born more of an image he wishes to portray, (to fans and players) than true conviction.

I'm not against Gruden, by the way... I definitely think him an upgrade... but I'm dubious about his ability to truly turn this team around.... give them a swift kick in the @##, improve things somewhat YES... just not sure how much. - JamesJM
