No actual inside information. Just the same theory almost everybody has that it makes no rational sense for them to keep Fisher. But again, that's because we're operating on conventional wisdom and Kroenke does not appear to be doing that. It also makes little sense to me that the Rams would just give Fisher an extra $7 to $9MM as a thank you for what again? For losing for 5 consecutive years? For moving with the team? Does everybody involved with relocating get an extra year's pay, even if they were already one of the highest paid of their peers? Why wouldn't the humongous 5 year deal he signed ostensibly with the understanding it might include relocation at the time be thanks enough for failing to win for this long?
Nothing would make me happier to be reading this incorrectly, but what I want to read or hear are real solid reports from reliable sources that Demoff and Kroenke are indeed finished with Fisher and his sidekick. But it should also include news that Demoff is finished too. Kroenke needs to bring in a serious football ops person to be President of the Rams and let him build out the leadership of football operations.
