You came in and changed the desription of the conversation with the addition of "If you combine a mutliply injured OL with qb issues" (your quote)....well zn that was NOT the conversation. The conversation was oline only and I repeat it becasue that is what my replys had to do with.
I changed nothing. I said what I ALWAYS say and that's going back years.
The Patz are an example of a team that can overcome OL injuries because they have the rare qb who can do it. I said that all last year. Seattle is another example. That does not apply to teams that have both OL and qb issues.
But let's look what happened in THIS conversation.
THe opening post was about whether they built an OL .I said yes, it just got messed up by injuries. At that point the "can teams win" thing had not come up.

They did fix it and it worked.
The 2013 OL was doing fine.
When the winning thing DID come up I merely said what I always say on this because I am always consistent on it

If you combine a mutliply injured OL with qb issues, you don't just "overcome that."

Heck sometimes you don't even need the qb issues. It's a rare qb who can play effectively with extensively damaged OLs. Guys like Bulger, Flacco, Eli, and even Luck are taken down a peg or 2 or more when their OLs fall apart to that extent.

Remember what I said. I talked about OL injuries plus qb issues.
The Patz did not have a qb issue, and DO have one of the few qbs who can play effectively with a damaged OL.
I don't know why this subthread is so confused. It's like people try to raise a new topic every post.
I have said for years now going back to 2007---most teams do not have the qb to overcome multiple extensive OL injuries. All through 2015 I said both the Patz and Seattle have qbs who can do that. Some added Roethlisberger.
Forever I have said that no one can name teams that have overcome both extensive multiple OL injuries AND qb issues BOTH. I never get examples of that. The Patz are not an example of THAT.
