OL last 5 years - try this try that approach
There has been no real plan on fixing it. Just a hodge podge - go with FA, go with veterans, draft a bunch in the same year, etc. Just random throwing darts and none of the trial and errors, mostly errors, have worked.
But given the personnel mess, I don't think any offensive player is as bad as they appear. Move OL, WRs, QBs elsewhere and you will see a better performance. The entire offensive environment is the system that is ran (Invincible in the Rain Offense) is toxic.
They did fix it and it worked.
The 2013 OL was doing fine.
Then in 2014 that fell apart--the culprit being the exact same one it has been for years starting in 2007. Extensive injuries.
So in 2015 they started over.
This "no real plan" stuff just ignores a whole mountain of facts...it's spin, and has nothing to do with reality.
What they DID do was approach it 2 different ways.
First, add both inexpensive and expensive FAs to already acquired draft picks (which btw is what they did in 99).
Second, build a young line through the draft.
That's the reality.
