The Raiders already seem to have a nice solution in Vegas, where they will draw very well from the LA market right up the 15. The Chargers and their broke @$$ owner are what's important, where IF the NFL can find a way to get Spanos to stay there even with some back-room promises on loans or fees, the NFL wins big time.
They would then have a stadium built and ready for whatever team wants to use it as leverage. Full set of offices and locker room ready to go in a state of the art stadium. NFL cities in and of themselves are not the key, it's the stadium that gives them the leverage on the threat to move to LA from wherever. And that's what I think is being overlooked.
