I'd like the Rams to at least gain some respect in this game by being competitive.
I do agree a top-10 defense didn't all of a sudden become terrible last Sunday. The degree of pride, focus and emotion they play with this Sunday will matter
a lot.
It's also true the Patriots' competition hasn't been great. Also true that with Gronkowski out and Brady on a bad leg it helps a bit. Starts with disciplined run defense. Trumaine Johnson needs a good game on Mitchell (9 catches, 3 TDs the past two games) and Hogan outside and Joyner needs to play his best game of the year inside on Edelman. Two players I hope really show up are Hayes and Quinn. I posted Tuesday that to me part of why the Saints had their way Sunday was a lack of pressure by our DEs. On a bad leg it's important the Rams get him off his spot up the middle but the DEs
have to do their part.
The Patriots special teams are not very good so the Rams could make some gains in the field position battle there.
This all said, it's a tough road game vs. Belichick and Brady with a QB starting his 3rd game for us...
