Demoff will know which guys Snead coveted, and to what extent he was right on certain picks in conjunction with Fisher's final call. But at this point if I'm Snead I would be feeling that axe over my head.

1. That could be the exact reason why they may want to retain him, so they could assign him more true GM duties and not just be a puppet to the head coach, who was really the GM.

2. I would imagine Snead would become a part of the head coach hiring process if he is retained. Fisher had to come in to give his final blessings on the hiring of Snead, but Fisher knew in that meeting he was getting full control. All he had to do was feel comfortable with him in that meeting and everyone understood their roles. It will all come down to the new head coach the Rams are coveting. I`d like to think the next head coach they hire will not get full control, unless its a very big name coach. I just don't see a very big name candidate at this moment.

Well we have to remember that the guys that Snead was coveting during these last 5 drafts were players that fit Jeff Fisher`s system and philosophies. With a new head coach on board, he would be coveting players that are a better fit in his system. He would obviously have much more say with those draft picks and the building of the team if the new head coach is not given full control. It would be more like a Steve Keim / Bruce Arians like relationship.

I think its extremely difficult for any of us to evaluate Snead at all as a GM.
