Yeah, I'm sure the team works out hard. That's no challenge.
But preparing a team requires hard work by the staff and THEN hard work at drilling the players for performance. You can go through the motions without doing that.
You mention evidence of a lack of updated game planning. I'd mention another:
1st game performances. We never seem to be "ready" for the 1st game while other teams are. Most teams prepare for Game 1 for weeks of training camp. They are READY. That takes application. But Fisher has failed to prepare us 4 of 5 seasons for game 1.
I really think Fisher is lazy. He feels he can field a team that plays it by ear, and does less to prepare the team than other coaches do.
Now, actually, sometimes I think it works. The lads are talented and capable of getting on a roll with more or less fresh minds. But this is no real compensation for consistent, disciplined preparation.
