Was reading a Sports Illustrated article in my dentists office about Dak Prescott this morning.
Was written around game 5.
Among other things, it said that the Cowboys had 7 QB's in for drills and interviews pre draft. Including Wentz and Goff, btw.
Said that Linehan declared that they thought Prescott had the highest football IQ of them all. One smart and savvy kid. Referred to several heady QB observations by Prescott of opposing D's that rookies normally just don't see.
Now, Prescott is only 6' 2" and we'll have to wait and see which of the QB's has the highest ceiling after 3 years, but right now the Cowboys couldn't be happier with their pick. They're thanking heaven that they were stymied in their other QB pursuits.
He was one of my favorites as well, just thought he "looked" like a play maker... Dallas should be thanking their lucky stars that they got this guy after passing on him three different times.
There was talk pre draft that Dallas was taking Goff or Wentz which ever one fell to them at 4, it's kinda why Philly had to jump up to number two to get ahead of them.
Dak also should thank his lucky stars that he fell to a team like Dallas with the best O-line in the league and some other pretty good playmakers around him.
