If Goff wasn't ready - they should have given Mannion the opportunity to battle for the starting spot in camp and preseason. Was Jeff so delusional as to think they'd ride Case for one more year into the playoffs? Then what - pay him big money so he can stick around and keep your #1 pick on the bench for several years. No foresight whatsoever. Or was it maybe jeff was trying to get to 9-7 and save his precious job.
