I think they'll go with the less expensive option with more developmental upside. Mannion handled himself well this preseason and if he's anointed the #2 from the outset in the offseason he'll get more work in OTAs and camp. The Rams have too many key free agents coming up to afford a $3-4M backup QB. If Keenum goes elsewhere and gets a two year deal which I think is likely the Rams could net a late round comp. pick for him in 2018 too.
