But...given what you just described, why wouldn't they keep Mannion?
Mannion's not a free agent next year. He's not a free agent until after 2018. So what incentive would the Rams have to let him walk? And on the other hand, right now, there's not enough evidence out there for any team to offer much in a trade for him.
So IMO in terms of who they keep next year, it will be one, the other, or both. I can't see a scenario at this point anyway where they would let both walk.
