So much for the "last 3 games" theory. I think we should look at the entire season picture, where we rank 29th overall. If you cherry pick games (hey, games 2, 3 & 4 we were undefeated!) you can support just about any argument. In REALITY, the NFL counts every game so in order to make a valid point you have to factor in our 5 losses.
During the Fisher era, we have been in the bottom 1/4 of the NFL in penalties every year, taking last once. Other constants during the Fisher era: Losing seasons and missing the playoffs.
I, for one, don't believe that these are coincidental.

Not sure what the controversy is...they did in fact improve after the 1st 2 games. That's not a "theory." If they fall back to as bad as before, then "the last 3 games" metric will show THAT too.
Let me look because in spite of what you're trying to imply, I don't think I ever did a "last 3" metric on penatlies. In terms of the "last 3" metric right now they are 25th in penalties per game.
First 2 games they averaged 9.5 per game which would rank 31st.
In terms of penalty yards and not penalties per game, last 3 games they were 22nd. 1st two games they would rank BELOW the current 32.
22nd aint great but it's NOT 108 yards a game as in the first 2. Right now 32nd is Oakland with 88.9.

F in stats?
quoting 2 games stats is beyond useless..like the other posted pointed out this is year 5. Can you win the game and lose the penalty yardage battle..sure you can also win a horse race using a fat jockey but it doesn't help
