Mannions is an ok back up QB. And I think he could function in moving the offense and scoring in the redzone.
The QB room as they say is pretty equal, ,hopefully with Goff growing weekly.
They obviously are not going to create a 3 headed monster of controversy, ,
Mannion is going to be the odd man out.
Fate is dealt already against him as far as him playing this year for this team.
Those skeptical comments about Mannion's abilities? I don't know what you base that on though. I do know that before this pre-season many people were heavily doubtful about SM and he went out there and proved them wrong.
But then...Yeah Mannion is odd man out, I wouldn't dispute that. Goff is the pick and he's up next. I didn't say otherwise. My point was simply and only this. Yes they developed a qb...based on what we DO know, there was a big difference between Mannion in the summer of 2015 and Mannion in the summer of 2016.
That's all I was saying. I don't get into whether he should or will play this year or even next. I assume he won't, unless something happens to Goff. I just commented on the fact that we saw a different qb in 2016 than in 2015. That was my only, limited, specific point.
