govane I gotta compare Rams vs Raiders on this QB/FA/Draft-Picks situation .... Free Agents are always a gamble ... better to grow your own.

QB, Foles - $8.0M. Signed Mar 15. Extended Aug 15. Benched Nov 15. Cut July 16. Raiders signed Matt Schaub for 20014 $8.0 mill and a 6th down the drain ... Rams got more for their money

DB, Sensabaugh - $5.5M. Signed Mar 16. Cut Oct 16. Tarell Brown $3.5 mill wasted ...I'd rather an undrafted rookie play in his place.

DL, Coples - $0.8M. Signed Mar 16. Cut Aug 16 DL Antonio Smith ... $5 mill flushed down the toilet

Keven Booth $1.6 mill wasted
James Jones ... 6TDs then cut ... $3.8 mill down the drain

it is easy to make it to rain $20 mill on fantasy players ... Raiders did get lucky with Donald Penn ... he is a gamer and worth his weight in gold.


QB, Goff - Traded for 15th, 43rd, 45th, 76th in 2016 and a 1st and 3rd in 2017. Still haven't played a down in the regular season. Raider's GM covets draft picks .. he didn't trade 6 picks for Bortles.



With the draft picks we could've had...
15th - trade down to get TE Huntrer Henry I was hoping for Raiders to trade down ... but instead Khalil Mack was picked (glad I was wrong)
43rd - DT A'Shawn Robinson QB Derek Car
45th - WR Michael Thomas Gabe jackson .... solid performer on the best pass protecting OL in the NFL
76th - QB Dack Prescott Justin Ellis ... been hurt this season, but a DL that can collapse the pocket and make the Qb step outside

we would still have our 1st and 3rd next year. .... players like Amari Cooper and TE Clive Walford

That's a huge swing in the opposite direction for Fish and co. ...we might be staring at another 7-9 BS 5 years into their stint. Draft wise I agree with you...ok, ok, ok, .. Goff will probably be a better QB than Carr ... but I am sick about the Rams giving up the other draft picks especially when there were other good QBs still on the board..
