Now, if Fisher was worth his paycheck he would be sending in every penalty Robinson gets called for that isn't actually a penalty to the league. And maybe he does. I have no idea.
Lets compare Jake Matthews - 38 games 16 accepted penalties. His rookie year he played 15 games and was penalized 11 times, 7 were holds. Since then, 5 holds. So to recap:
First 15 games - 7 holds
Last 23 games - 5 holds
Someone was either taught him what to do at the NFL level thru coaching, or he wisened up.
Robinson - 39 games 30 accepted penalties. Rookie year 16 games and was penalized 11 times (same as Matthews with one more game) 6 holds (1 less then Mathews) Since then 18 more holds. (13 more then Matthews)
So Robinson recap:
First 16 games - 6 holds
Last 23 games - 18 holds
So either someone hasn't explained the finer points of NFL blocking or he just ain't getting it. And now he has a rep, so he won't get the benefit of the doubt.
