because he has a different grading system then you or I. its obvious I have a different system then you, so either you are saying mine is wrong or Jemach isn't wrong afterall because everyone evaluates drafts and draft picks differently.
I didn't just say you used different criteria. That's only part of the equation. Unless you get the entire equation you're not really responding to what I said.
And here's my main point. Remember what I want to introduce to the discussion. Some ballast. I said, what are hit percentages on OTHER teams. Known good drafting teams. That way the Rams hit percentage can be put into some kind of realistic context.
Without that kind of ballast it seems to me that subjective ideas of how many hits you're supposed to have are just not useful. What's the REAL hit percentage on REAL teams that draft well? How do the Rams compare?
I said 40% was good, looking at other teams. You then said the Rams were 30%. So you used my 40% and your 30%. That's not really a response to me. To have a response to me that takes account what I am doing, I would need YOUR evaluation of a few other teams. According to YOUR criteria, was is a decent hit percentage for OTHER teams?
I got my "40+% is good" conclusion by looking at other teams...the way I look at hits. So how do those other teams look...the way YOU look at hits. For all I know, 30% is actually good.
And no I don't think that Jemach is right in any way shape or form because he states that Rams drafting has been bad. I don't think it's possible to demonstrate they have been BAD. Now, 2006-2008...that was BAD. 2012-2015? We can quibble over the details but I don't see any earthly way someone can say it's BAD. Not with the standard for bad being 2006-8.
Either way---my main point is this. HOWEVER YOU COUNT HITS, what's a basic percentage for "good" you get from doing the numbers on teams we know draft well. Only THEN do the numbers on the Rams make any sense.
I looked and came up with 40+% as good, for other teams. I then compared the Rams who also did 40+%.
