Thanks for the review, Alyo. Always a good read, man.
Hard for me to offer much commentary. I find myself drifting more and more toward apathy as the winnable game losses pile up.
Here's my short and sweet Ram "to do" list for these last 9 games.
Start Goff the rest of the way. Keep the playlist simple, but flexible enough to allow his talents to shine through. He's our future, and the future is now. He can make plays that Keenum simply cannot.
Figure out who or what has caused our OL to regress from late last year. All 5 have regressed this year. That is statistically impossible without outside intervention. Coaching, scheming, play calling, or SOMETHING has affected this OL negatively. Road graders that now can't run block worth a damn? I dunno. But get back to basics asap.
Further increase Gurley and the TE's as passing targets. They're effective when used, so use them even more.
Really kinda simple, huh? Only 2 things, really.
Replace Keenum and fix the OL.
Finally, I admire your loyalty to Fisher. But I'm done with him, myself. Nice guy to have a beer with, I bet. But the last HC in the league I would want when trying to develop an O. I don't even restrict my criticism of his O deficiencies to the skill positions, anymore. Not when the OL is regressing, too. An OL built with some mighty high draft picks, at that.
We can do better. We deserve better. And come January, I think we will be seeing a better HC hired.
Sure hope that I can shake this feeling of growing apathy. And soon...
