Its a mystery to me as well. But I think a good take would be that they never were that good. But before the big trade to move up I'm sure they had plans on fixing it in order for Gurley to really shine. But that all went down the drain when "somebody" made the decision to give up a ton of draft choices to bring in a California blond kid to be their franchise qb. But you reap what you sow. So here we are faced with the irony of giving up the very thing that you need most for the guy to succeed to get the guy. IMO if you put Wentz, Prescott, or whoever behind this line they will not be what you see now from them AND they are likely to get hurt or terribly gun shy.
It really is a conundrum for the Rams isn't it? I believe they never should have given up those draft picks and instead rebuilt their O line and draft a qb when their normal turn came. There were plenty on the board. The question is who really was behind that decision and was it based on ticket sales or genuine football knowledge. We may never know. Unless of course your Keyshawn Johnson.
And of course had we kept the qb-now in Minnesota -we would not be in this pickle now either. Which reminds me-what ever happened to Foles?
Ah yes-personnel decisions.
