I agree Gator...if the defense is going all out to shut the run down....then take the passing game to them. If that means throwing it 50 to 60 times then so be it, make that defense play the entire field. play action....screens....roll outs....etc. then attack deeper

Interestingly, they are attacking deeper. Since the 1st 2 games, the Rams are now ranked 3rd in the league in yards per attempt. The Rams vertical game is their strength right now. This was supposed to be a team that ran the ball with Gurley, played top defense, and could get by with Keenum even though they had no receivers. Now it turns out, for a lot of different reasons (including injuries to an extent), they regressed some on defense, Gurley can't get going, they do have receivers (Britt and Quick both playing better than they have before), and Keenum keeps them alive in games with a high YPA, which comes in part from throwing long at a higher rate than most teams do.
Though they are also 2-2 across that span so it obviously isn't enough right now.
