Jenkins was always going to take the highest contract anywhere he could get. These huge contracts always hurt you and throw things out of balance. The Indianapolis Colts owner lamented the huge contract they gave Luck right after they signed him. The Lions couldn't keep Suh, but Miami took him. He's not helping Miami.
Funny you want depth, but if you sign Jenkins for the money he wanted, you hurt your depth elsewhere.
Yeah, it sucks...can't blame Jenks for trying to make the most money he can, but sure would be refreshing to see a player or two these days to take a little less to stay with the team.
No way could we afford what the Giants gave Jenks, with all the other contracts that will be due soon.... Btw, Jenks still loves to bite, I can see a long TD on him this week coming!!!
