TG has been hit as he's taken a handoff on most of his carries. Something insane like .08 yards before contact. Somehow with his amazing skills he is still averaging over 2 ypc. All of that's YAC. If he gets hit 3 yards deep and makes nearly 6 yards he get around 3 YPC. If our OL held defenders at bay at the LOS and TG gets 6 YPC then he's a superstar. And if he gets through the line without contact there's nobody who can stop him as we saw on last year's long runs. Now he maybe he has lost some of that confidence. If he feels like contact is imminent maybe he just ducks his head and pushes for what he can get. I think his blocking has been atrocious. When he gets a chance he gets 9 or 15. If I was a member of his OL I would be embarrassed. And if RS actually is criticizing TG he should look in a mirror.
