you and I see this differently ....
where there is a "10 foot gap" (from watching the video) it looks to me as if Gurley is 15 feet away, and #53 is 3-4 feet away from being in the middle of the gap ... I think the gap would have been shut down if Gurley had run that way
I think that Gurley would have trusted a real fullback to make that block (like free-agent Marcel Reece)

the video doesn't show how good his hands really are. I think he can be the next Danny Amendola.... with Chris Carter's hands... and then some.
