Perhaps the key is Brown. He runs by 96 (i think that's the number) and goes for the db. But if Gurley goes left then 96 will just stuff that with Harkey essentially whiffing on 53. If Brown blocks 96 then there's a chance that Gurley can find a crease. From the timing of it Gurley may see Brown and think he is going to make the block. But I'm starting to lean toward Gurley making a mistake and the play might have been designed for him to go left. But I think that would have been even worse. I mean I do see the hole that is there but that hole isn't there if Gurley runs left. With Brown trying to get to the db, he would just be pushed backward. The play is essentially doomed because of Robinson. Maybe they need to simply the run game or something.
Again, its a foot. The ball appears to be in the end zone when it is snapped, lol.. I guess they don't feel good about Barnes strength or something because a QB sneak there seems like a possibility. It seems like a pretty complex play for a foot. And if Saffold and Robinson don't fall down, its got a shot. Heck even if Brown blocks 96 it still had a shot.
Earlier I said Barnes at least got in the way... upon further review, I see that his man fell over a Ram OL already on the ground (smh) and he was able to just push him over... but good enough. He is Hoover at Delta... Robinson is Bluto... zero point zero
