I am a little more optimistic now than I was at 3-1. The offense at least did some things they rarely do. Significant improvement. I am skeptical that it will stick, but if not for the injuries on the defensive line, this would be a win.
That's super reasonable, in my view.
3 phases of the game.
Offense - looking TONS better! (Heck - Brian Flippin' QUICK looks like a bonafide NFL receiver!) In fact, looking better w/every game this year. It's NOT reasonable to expect them to make today's performance routine. But nor is it reasonable to keep acting like the 9er game was "who they are."
Defense - disappointing, no doubt. But with Tru and Quinn - our second and third best players -- coming back soon, w/a little luck, and a break in couple weeks that'll give time for the hurting guys to heal up some. I think it's very reasonable to expect this defense to play better going forward than we've seen the last couple games.
Special teams - VERY arguably the best kicking pair in the league after 6 games. Period.
Yes, 4-2 would be better than 3-3. But all this "here we go again" stuff ....
