because you aren't saying what you're seeing, you're 'intuiting'. As your description of the Hawks game goes to show.
No I am saying what I am seeing.
I saw plays today where he bought time, looked, and checked down. I even listened with interest as the broadcast team discussed times when he did that.
That means to me the idea that he ALWAYS goes with his preferred pre-snap read is just not accurate.
For example last week, the play to Quick where he ducked under the rush, scrambled forward to the LOS, and found Quick for a gain.
I also notice that the people who insist he rarely if ever goes through progressions, or finds another option, or always sticks with his first pre-snap read are, notably, guys who saw the Seattle game. But to me, that was just a strategy for one game---against THAT defense, get rid of the ball quick, and that means (as it does for most qbs) stay with your best match-up or option according to pre-snap reads.
One game is not enough to characterize a guy 100%.
So yes I have seen those plays. Heck I saw them last year. And my considered judgment is, the claim that he never varies from going with his preferred pre-snap read are just way too categorical and don't account for the whole picture.
