at least, that has been my belief for a while now. That the Rams aren't a top team right now isn't a surprise given the plan that was hatched in 2012. It's his team. He can do with it as he sees fit. My problem with it is that players under contract to his team are having valuable years of their careers wasted in deference to this vision. Because an NFL players' career is so short on average, it seems reasonable that an NFL owner might be more sensitive to the need to put them in a position to be successful as quickly as possible. It seems that many of the "core" players that the Rams have are being used to fill a gap between 2012 and 2019, likely the point at which the vision is expected to reach its fruition. All of these years in between are just part of a process and the success of the process will not be measured in playoff appearances. At least for now.
