Was today a bitter loss? Yeah....because you would think at home with a tie ball game against a middle-of-the-road team....the home (supposedly upcoming) team will take over the game. That said....they are 3-2. I had this team being 7-9 this year....but figured they would be 2-3 at this point. This was supposed to be a win....but I'll take 3-2 going into next week.
I said it last week....the Rams defense is a mirage. If they don't get the turnovers and take the ball out of the opposing offense's hands.....they can't make up for the weak Ram offense. No turnovers this week....and they give up 23 points at home.
Something's got to give if this team expects to make the playoffs. I just can't expect the offense to suddenly figure things out (unless they insert Goff and he takes off). So, my best option is for the defense to reduce opposing offenses to <70 yards rushing and <200 Yds passing with just one turnover. They do that....and this team might have as shot.
