Listen - I like Keenum - but this offense cant grow with him.
Well it actually has, and probably can a little more.
But that's beside the point really.
Everyone who argues against Keenum seems to be fighting with phantom opponents. The real people are not saying the things you are arguing with.
There is no one in Ramsfansland that I have seen who expects Keenum to be any more than a placeholder for Goff.
Yet oddly, the people who are down on him keep saying he's not the future, they can't grow with him, and so on.
As if someone were actually arguing AGAINST that.
My thing is this and it's very simple. No matter who the starter is I try to see him clearly, limitations and strengths, and usually will find myself debating people who are either giving him too much credit (as I see it anyway) or are being too hard on him (as I see it anyway). I have done that with Warner, Green, Bulger, Bradford, Davis, and now Keenum. It's just a thing I do.
Don't take it as something it's not---which is trying to argue he is a permanent starter, a starting caliber qb, and anything more than Goff's placeholder.
It's just that in general, add up, overall, I think he's a GOOD version of that. Today's game aside.
