Pinged on tape reviews
I really do agree on both counts
would hope that he's reviewing the stuff and going to improve as the season continues
on the other point, one would really believe that coaches would take note on the lock ons or for lack of field awareness
And on your third point I agree again
I have no complaints
come out of any game with the win I'll take it
If you want to get the ball out quickly and efficiently, you see who has a favorable situation pre-snap and go right to them.
This then gets magnified by some fans into a problem it isn't. Or it can be taken that way when it's not really an issue.
If you're completing passes and moving the ball it's not a problem. Far more qbs do it far more often than fans apparently like to believe.
It's just one, safe way of doing things.
The SKILL involved is seeing the favorable match-up in the pre-snap read.
Now it;s not the most dynamic way to run an offense but then it's a safe way to use a #2 caliber qb behind a relatively inexperienced OL. So the coaches are probably not chiding him, they are probably directing him to play that way.
It is also mixed in with setting up and taking longer shots, which the Rams do do and have done for years now. But then THAT part of what they do gets ignored or overlooked by a lot of Rams fans. It's there, it's core to what they do, it's central to how they set up an offensive attack, and yet some fans don't even realize that dimension of their offense even exists.
